Students eagerly waiting for NEET result 2016 got a relief when the results for NEET result 2016 were declared one day earlier than its prescribed date 17th August 2016.

But this time, NEET result 2016 will make the students eligible only for private colleges only.
The total number of students appearing for NEET was around 7,31,223 but only a little bit more than 50 percent succeeded in the exam conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
Even in NEET result 2016, girls have outshined the boys making it clear that the girls are more serious and responsible towards their profession and studies.
The total number of male students qualified for NEET is around 1,83,424 and the total number of female students succeeded for NEET is around 2,26,049.

Admission for NEET was conducted in two phases. First phase was held during May but number of students could make it.
The state of Maharashtra had its own way of admitting the students in medical and dental colleges but the supreme court decision made it mandatory for all students as well as state government to conduct NEET to get admissions.
The reason of making NEET compulsory was due to a controversy and to solve the matter SC had to intervene.
The students who couldn’t participate in the first phase due to any reason got second opportunity to appear for NEET in second phase.
